Smart and Easy Laminating with LEITZ iLAM

All You Need to Know is On and Off!
Waterproof, wipeable and tear-resistant: laminated docu-ments can withstand the harshest treatment and conditions. Whether it’s school timetables, pictures or restaurant menus – everyday documents and special memories can be sealed between two sheets of plastic film, ensuring long-lasting protection. And thanks to the new iLAM laminators and pouches from Leitz, laminating has never been easier. Just press the ‘on’ button, and you’re ready to go. No machine settings or adjustments are needed. The fully automated new product series comprises heavy-duty iLAM touch laminators for professional use and iLAM easy, a home office version in on-trend colours. What’s more, the new iLAM pouches deliver perfect results time after time thanks to our groundbreaking Unique Direction Technology.
Laminating important documents is a smart move. The plastic film protects letters, printed-paper and pictures from stains and wrinkles, making them much more durable and hard-wearing. Photos are a particularly good candidate for lamination, as they are frequently hung up on walls and refrigerator doors, where they are exposed to light and air. This is where laminating pouch comes in: it effectively protects the delicate photo paper from dirt and wrinkles, and preserves colour vibrancy. iLAM easy laminators have an automatic photo mode that can be acti-vated at the touch of a button, allowing consumers to quickly and easily protect precious memories and funny snapshots. “Laminating used to be difficult because of the need of non-intuitive machine settings,” explains Ard-Jen Spijkervet, Vice President for Marketing in Europe at Esselte Leitz, adding: “The new iLAM products take user friendliness to a whole new level. This makes protecting documents extremely easy.”
Fast and compact
The iLAM easy series, perfect for day-to-day
use, features a snap-py apple green colour scheme that is sure to
brighten up any study or home office. And just like their iLAM touch
counterparts, they feature an intuitive, easy-to-use interface – so
consumers no longer have to fumble with complicated settings. iLAM easy
machines can process film up to 125 microns (0.125 millimetres) strong –
which is plenty for most home users. What’s more, they use little
energy, protecting both the environment and the wallet. And like all
other Leitz products, iLAM easy laminators come with a three-year
guarantee. Available from 79 euros (suggested retail price) at specialty
retailers, the devices are ideal for families and home office users who
value top technology and excellent laminating results.
Laminators for the most demanding applications
The iLAM touch
series comprises one A4 machine and two in A3. All iLAM touch laminators
are equipped with a unique, innovative sensor which takes the hard work
out of laminating and makes complicated settings a thing of the past.
The machine heats up automatically, and the iLAM sensor gives a green
light when the re-quired temperature has been reached. A special feature
prevents the device from laminating until it is ready – preventing user
error. What’s more, iLAM touch detects the strength of the film and
ad-justs the speed and temperature accordingly.
The heavy-duty iLAM touch can easily process film of up to 250 microns strong. And if despite all these measures a document doesn’t get laminated properly, the iLAM automatically stops the process and ejects it. This effectively prevents jams and protects the laminator and document. All iLAM touch-series machines fea-ture input and output trays – so the film remains completely flat at all times. In addition, the laminators automatically switch off after 30 minutes – for greater safety, plus lower energy consumption and environmental impact. All in all, the iLAM touch makes it easy to achieve perfect results with minimal effort. All iLAM devices can be used with commercially available laminating films. However, users who value quality should opt for the new patented iLAM pouches from Leitz.
Smart laminating pouches
Innovative and ingenious: iLAM
laminating pouches from Leitz are just as smart as their laminator
siblings. They put an end to poor laminating quality and damaged
documents – thanks to cutting-edge Unique Direction Technology developed
by Leitz engineers. Arrows on the pouches clearly indicate which way to
insert docu-ments, nipping user error in the bud. Even better: the
arrows “magically” disappear during laminating – demonstrating that the
document has been perfectly sealed. “We developed iLAM especially for
consumers who wish to use professional technology at home to achieve the
same excellent results as in the office,” comments Ard-Jen Spijkervet.
