A worldwide first – Leitz 180° Active
January 16, 2007
Miss Germany presents the first Leitz on-the-go lever arch file.
Berlin/Stuttgart, 16 January 2007 – With the slogan, “People carry files”
Leitz presented the world’s first lever arch file designed especially for
use outside of the office. The lever arch file is called Leitz 180° Active
and is made of an innovative new material (polyfoam) that makes it much
more robust, resistant and durable than any previous lever arch file. This
innovation by Leitz was developed especially for businesspeople, students,
freelancers and other people who need to work while travelling by rail or
air, or anywhere outside of the office. Four beauty queens presented the
innovative new product to the public at Berlin’s main railway station. Who
would’ve thought a lever arch file could be so attractive?
Germany’s most beautiful women got “on track” for the new lever arch file by
Leitz. Presenting the great looks of the world’s first mobile lever arch
file in skin-tight Leitz Active latex suits in the original lever arch
file colours of blue, orange, green and black were Isabell Knispel (19),
the current Miss Germany, Claudia Ehlert (33), Misses Germany 2005, and
Daniela Domröse (23), the current Miss Deutschland, along with Miss
Intercontinental, Katarina Manova (20). Ard-Jen Spijkervet, Marketing
Director Central Europe at Esselte Leitz, presented the main features of
the new product: an innovative design with a rounded spine for more
comfortable carrying, highly robust material of polyfoam plastic, an
elastic band for closing the folder and a flexible inner pocket for loose
documents.
The Leitz Active is also equipped with the innovative 180° mechanism
that allows documents to be filed more quickly and efficiently. “We see
potential sales of 10 million units of the Leitz 180° Active per year in
Germany alone,” Spijkervet said in Berlin.
Visitors at Berlin’s main railway station were given the opportunity to
test the new Leitz 180° Active for themselves. Daniela Domröse and
Katarina Manova handed out almost 1,000 free lever arch files to
visitors at the new station in Berlin. The new Leitz lever arch file is
available to all who use arch files on-the-go for about five euro each,
at office-supply shops everywhere.
